The PURPLE
FOLDER found at each venue is provided for your benefit
and contains useful information about the school. Please take the
time to read through it.
Please keep Aqua Ducks informed of any change to
your personal details, e.g. address, telephone number, etc.
Talk to your children and reassure them it will be
a "happy experience".
Try getting their hair and faces wet while in the
bath at home, so they get used to the feeling of water on their faces.
Non-swimmers always have a teacher in the water with
them, so you can reassure them they will always have someone with
them.
At Stourfield and St Mark's, children must wear a swimming cap
in the pool. Aqua Ducks have nice soft hats for sale at a cost of
£1.50. Please ask a member of staff at the pool.
BUDDY SCHEME
We encourage the older, more confident
children to befriend the newer ones.
Have a nice, dry towel waiting for your little swimmers
as they come out of the water.
At the end of all classes, a whistle will sound.
Please be ready to collect your little swimmer from poolside.
CHANGING ROOMS
Please ensure your children get changed in the appropriate changing
room from the age of 8 years. You may make prior arrangements for
any special requirements.
Please note, at all venues, children must be supervised
in the changing rooms. Where individual cubicles are available, please
use them. Most importantly, please ensure the changing rooms are
left as you would expect to find them.
Older swimmers may be left unsupervised during their
lessons, but please inform the appropriate teacher BEFORE the lesson
on each occasion. Also ensure Aqua Ducks have a contact number for
you in case of emergency.
Length swimmers will require flippers to aid stroke
technique. These are available in the Aqua Ducks Shop along with
other items such as bathing caps, swimwear, swim bags, etc.
Mobile phones are not to be used on pool side or
in the changing rooms.
PHOTOGRAPHY
Photography is not permitted without permission. Please speak to
a member of staff.
